For Transgender Children Teens And Their FamiliesBefore it becomes a butterfly, a caterpillar goes through a growth stage during which it is called a "chrysalis." On the surface it may not look like much is happening, but the delicate chrysalis process changes the fuzzy caterpillar into an awesome butterfly with wings of intricate designs and intense colors.
YOU ARE NOT ALONEThere are lots of us out here. Research tells us that five percent of the population is transgender that is more than 13 Million in the US alone.I know hard to believe, you feel so alone! What is in this web site? LOTS of information, and I hope more importantly LOVE. This web is for you! I am however including sections for parents and counselors. WE have been where you are now and we share your pain and suffering. When I started working on this web I sent out a question to two of the E-mail groups that I am part of, asking, what would you have wanted to know as you were growing up. The answers are under Wanted to Know. The answers to those questions are some of the pages in this web. They have been written by a number of people with different experiences but sharing being transgendered. One of the most common problems expressed is dealing with religion and faith. We will try and cover not only Christianity but other religions as we have information, including Muslims. Those answers are on www.gendertree.com. If you are having difficulty please write me, if I do not have an answer I can find some one who does. If you need help I will do my very best, there are many with in the community willing to help. Respect yourself you have a right to be here! Particularly at a young age, gender can shift and what is expressed may change with time and I want you to be aware of that. Even as adults we are often fluid in how we identify. My personal web site is
www.gndertree.com which is also a help site with lots of information. A note
concerning e-mail to me, there has been a problem concerning the hyperlinked
e-mail address below.
